Do you work with women? Do you lose clients when they go through a divorce? Would you like to serve more clients who are experiencing a major life event?

If you work with women, a great number of your clients experience divorce

The overall divorce rate in the US is between 41% –50%. The divorce rate for couples over 50 has doubled over the last 30 years, while that of couples over 65 has tripled. Second marriages have a divorce rate between 60% – 67%. Third marriages have a divorce rate of approximately 74%. If you work with women, you probably already have several clients navigating the various stages of divorce.

There are three professionals that women are most likely to change after a divorce

After a divorce, women are most likely to change their financial advisor, their accountant, and their estate planner. If you are one of these professionals, learning how to work with these clients will not only increase client retention but will also give you the skills you need to provide excellent service to your client.

Professionals who work with women can greatly increase the effectiveness of the work they do.

When you understand the challenges your client faces during one of the most difficult times of her life, you could create client loyalty.  This leads to greater referrals (as women, we gladly refer those who we enjoy working with, to our friends and family because we want them to have an equally good experience) and a long lasting professional relationship.

How can I help you?

When we work together, you can expect to:

Become better informed about where your client is in her journey through a divorce so that you are more relatable

Clients relate differently to the professionals they work with based on where they are in the divorce process. If you can identify the stage they are in, what that entails, and the challenges they face in their life, you will be a better informed and empathic professional.

Learn to evaluate what your clients need from you to be best able to serve her

There are many factors that influence how women experience divorce. Not only do different people perceive divorce in different ways, but they also process it differently, and may have different needs. Learn how to evaluate the best way for you to serve your client.
